Dress: Needle & Thread

It’s ‘ring by spring’ season and I LOVE it! I get so giddy scrolling through social media and seeing dainty diamonds, pretty proposals, and glowing grooms. It’s a sweet season and I’m thankful to be sharing it with some of my best friends.
A couple weeks ago I shared some tips on what to wear for the casual look in this post.  I love any excuse to dress up so I thought it would be fun to act like we were back in high school getting ready for prom and give Chas an excuse to show off his new suit he got for Christmas.
Here are a few tips when it comes to finding the perfect dressy look for your engagement photos:

1. Flowy & Romantic

I knew I wanted something long, flowy, and romantic. This Needle & Thread dress was everything I had in mind with it’s soft tulle and elegant detailing.

2. Color is Key

Our photographer, Hannah, mentioned that muted colors photograph the best (think grey, navy, white, cream, pink) so keep that in mind when shopping for your outfits. Large prints and patterned clothing don’t transfer as well on camera.

3. Hair & Makeup

Get dolled up! Hannah told me if you feel like a million bucks it will definitely show in the photos, so don’t be ashamed to spend a little more time perfecting that eye shadow or curling your hair. [Special shoutout to my sweet little sis for doing my makeup for me! Xoxo] You’ll have these photos forever so you want to love them!
bloom & grow forever,
Madeline Rose
