What a fun night. A few weeks ago I headed to Houston to visit Chas for the weekend. I was excited to soak up one last long distance visit before Chas graduates and we’re married [& done with long distance forever!!!] Rice truly is such a beautiful campus and I loved following Chas around for the day to experience a “day in the life” as a student there. I even got to sit through his Greek class which was of course, all Greek to me. {wink}
Chas had mentioned that one of our family camp families wanted to throw us a little engagement party the next time I was in town. I was thinking maybe a couple cookies and some punch, but oh my goodness I was shocked when we walked into their beautiful home and every shade of pink balloons were floating all over the house and chocolate covered strawberries, macaroons, and all these yummy goodies lined their kitchen countertop. All of Chas’ friends came and it was so much fun getting to see the girls I stay with when I visit! We had a special time reminiscing as Chas shared our love story and I relived the proposal story.
One of my favorite things about the party were these precious pink cards that Chas’ friends filled out that said “My Tips for Madeline & Chas” including the secret to a happy marriage, the best date night, and my prayer for your marriage. Chas and I got a good laugh at some of the date night ideas and were grateful for the thoughtful prayers.
We had a wonderful evening celebrating this exciting season of life! We adore you, Brandt family!!
bloom & grow forever,
Madeline Rose
