Plaid Coat for Fall

The cooler weather in Chicago has me pulling out all my warmer pieces in my wardrobe. One I am pretty excited about? This houndstooth plaid wool coat. The polished print is everywhere this season. From blankets, scarves, ribbons and coats it’s a classic and will be around for years to come.

I was recently introduced to Bernardo and love the line of outerwear they carry. From plaid coats to packable puffers, they have so many styles to keep you warm and in style this season. I am pretty impressed with the quality and fit of this plaid coat. It is meant to have an oversized, relaxed fit but I ended up going a size down for a more fitted look (I’m wearing an XS for reference).

My sister and I bought matching hair bows when they came to visit recently (you may have seen us sporting them around the city here). I love that this one can unattach from the scrunchie so you can turn it into a neck scarf like I did for this look.
