It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I convinced Chas to let me put up our skinny flocked Christmas tree on Halloween this year (gasp!) and it’s made the start to the holiday season so sweet. Last year we kept our tree simple and minimal so this year I knew I wanted to go all out and give it some glam.

Since this is the first tree I’ve ever decorated myself and I’m starting fresh with accessories, I drew my inspiration from the gorgeous MacKenzie-Childs Christmas trees that I got a few years ago. I love the beautiful pearl details and pastels that sparkle of silver and gold.

I think the beauty of decorating a Christmas tree is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it! It’s special to you and that’s all that matters.

Tree Topper

I know this is typically the finishing touch to the tree, but I bought about 15-20 of these adorable champagne and pearl berry picks (loved how the pearls complimented my initial inspiration) and wanted to make sure I had enough to make the tree topper look full before I stuck a few throughout the tree. If you want to effortlessly elevate your tree these are key! They are my secret to adding texture and dimension. I bought 7 of these rose gold frosted ball picks and I loved these mini pearl picks to sprinkle throughout as well. So easy and simple for such a difference in your tree. You can’t mess these up!

Ornaments

Continue trimming the tree by adding the bigger ornaments (like these white fuzzy ones) and mix up different styles, textures and colors making your tree cohesive and full. How darling are these gold ornament hooks! I thought these gold glitter crowns were a special way to celebrate King Jesus entering the world.

Make it Personal

Whether it’s a memorable ornament you bought on a trip or a monogrammed ornament for you and your special someone, this is the best way to make your tree feel unique and yours. These kinds of ornaments are always fun to bring out every year and share stories of sweet memories of old.
