H&M Sweater | Anthropologie Striped Skirt (fit: true to size) | Dolce Vita Over-the-knee Boots (old, similar linked) | Anthropologie Midnight Rancher Hat (currently on sale for $30!)

Our engagement photos are here and I’m getting all of them ready to share with you on the blog! Our precious photographer, Hannah, snapped a couple of my outfit while Chas was changing so I thought I would share them while majority of my look is on SALE!
Shopping for our engagement pictures was a little harder than I expected. I had been holding onto a dress that I knew I wanted to wear for a more formal look, but when it came to the cute & casual look I was a little stumped. Jeans and a sweater? Skirt and a top? Another dress? I had been so focused on what I wanted Chas to wear (more on that coming soon!) that I didn’t have much time to plan for my outfit. Enter this darling mini skirt. You won’t find too many “mini skirts” in my closet, but as soon as I saw this multi-color striped skirt I knew it was coming in the dressing room with me.
I’ll be sharing more on what to wear for engagement photos soon, but a few tips for the casual look would be to keep the top piece print free and have fun with the bottoms whether that be a skirt, denim, or some kind of pant. That way your photographer can still get a couple photos of you and your fiancé from your top up and the focus will be the two of you and not some crazy print or pattern. Add a few accessories! I love hats so I was excited when I found this one that matched my skirt so well.  We took these right around Christmas so a live wreath was a must!
bloom & grow forever,
Madeline Rose
