Simple Beauty Routine

Simple Beauty Routine

Ever since I was a little girl I loved dabbling in makeup. When my sister & I were younger we would spend a few days at both sets of our grandparents houses. Both my Nana and Grandma have inspired my love for all things feminine and timeless. They have taught me and continue to teach me tips after tips on how to take care of my skin and apply my makeup for a flawless finish. Below are the products I use to create a simple, yet elegant look.

Foundation
I have worn the Clinique Tinted Moisturizer since I was in high school. Not only does it have SPF 15, but it feels light on my face and lasts all day (I wear shade 03). I use Bare Minerals Original Foundation (color “Light”) to set the foundation.
Concealer
This past September when I went to Fashion Week, I had the special treat of having my face made with Yves Saint Laurent (Eeep!). I was specifically wanting a concealer that would brighten under my eyes and I was matched with the ‘Touche Eclat’ Radiant Touch (shade 2 “Luminous Ivory”). Although a little pricey, I love the way it looks & feels.
Bronzer & Blush
I recently purchased this Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette and it did not disappoint. The blushes are bright and the bronze colors create the perfect sun-kissed glow. (I also don’t mind the chic white & gold packaging!)
Mascara
Lashes! This is by far the most common question I get in regards to beauty. My favorite mascara to create long, thick looking lashes is hands down L’Oreal Teloscopic. The brush is thin enough to separate your lashes while lengthening them at the same time! Best part? It’s less than $10 at your nearest drug store. If you really want a dramatic look then use the white side of the  L’Oreal Double Extend Primer first.
Lips
YSL Glossy Stain #15 Rose Vinyl (the perfect pink! love that it stays all day!)

bloom & grow forever,

First of all I would like to say great blog! I
had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.

I’ve had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15
minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas
    or hints? Many thanks!
