Scroll-framed Letter

I love a good DIY. There’s something so rewarding about creating something yourself; however, that is not always the case. Nevertheless, this mossy masterpiece is simple ( & affordable ) enough to add some personality to your space!

For this project you will need the following:
– wooden frame/plaque (13 3/4″ x 10 3/4″ opening)
– wooden letter
– burlap
– foam board
– spray paint (color of your choice!)
– hot glue gun & plenty of glue
– scissors/straight-edge blade

1. Cut foam board
First, place the wooden frame on the foam board to trace the area which you will need to cut. Make sure you leave room on the edges so you can hot glue the foam board to the back of the wooden frame.

2. Cut the Burlap
Next, cut a piece of burlap to cover the entire foam board that you just cut and hot glue it to the board.

3. Spray Paint
Then, spray paint the wooden frame with the color of your choice. *Tip: lay a trash bag on the ground or grass to eliminate a mess!*

4. Hot glue moss
Now, begin adding the moss to the wooden letter with hot glue. (Be careful not to burn yourself!)

5. Hot glue wooden letter to burlap-covered foam board
Once you hot glue the letter add more moss to the edges where you can still see wood (like in the picture above)

Last but not least, hot glue your dry frame to the foam board and you’re done! You can hang it with command strips (like I did here) or use a nail.
bloom & grow forever,
